Road transport is a critical structure for economic development of a country. It influences the pace, structure and pattern of development. India has one of the largest road networks in the world. However, Road safety is an issue of national concern. Road accidents create negative impact on the economy, public health and the general welfare of the people. Surge in Population and Motorization in the country along with expansion of road network contributes to the number of road accidents, injuries, deaths, loss of productivity and fatalities. The rate of road accident is reduced only when you adopt a new technology.

So, I have taken an oath from the depth of my heart to save human life from road accidents, because now a day’s road accidents are considerably increasing in India, and many people are losing their life. That’s why I can say road accident is acting like a SILENT KILLER. For that reason I started a new project called AUTOMATIC ACCIDENT CONTROLLER SYSTEM, I hope this project implementation is first time in INDIA.

I got 1st place for this project in IEEE NATIONAL LEVEL EVENT that was conducted on 7th October 2012 during my graduation degree in E&C Engineering. An automatic accident controller project not only saves human life but it also saves animals life during road crossing. Here I’ve adopted new technology that works 24*7 and 365 days in year without the need of any manual work (no labor needed to operate).  This project was implemented on 9th 0cotober 2013 at 11.50AM in my village. And this project is not only for my village, but I have dream of implementing this project across India.

But for my bad luck this project implementation is going very slow just because of lack of investment for the project. Each project implementation requires minimum of US $8200.   Here this project requires a lot of hardware materials for construction, garage tools for assembling, electronics &electrical components for circuit connection.  And another thing is, here I’m using renewable energy sources like solar panels, small wind turbines as a power sources for this project.  Please visit a below link of Google map that shows accident zone of my village and also shows the place where I’m going to implement my dream project.

I selected my village because road accidents happening in this area is more, According to Local Police Station Report every year Hundreds  of people suffer from accident and many people die (Spot death) in this danger zone.

Personally I’m the person who did suffer from accident in this danger zone in 2008, after that I have  strongly take an oath to save human life in road accident, and I must say thanks to god since he saved  my life. And later I thought that this is just the one place and there are so many road accidents and what about overall India????? , there are so many accident zones everywhere across India. If you just go to GOOGLE & YOUTUBE and search simply “road accidents in India “you can see the level of accidents in India. For that I decided to collect information about accidents that occurs across India. For more genuine information about road accident, please visit to below link MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT&HIGHWAYS as a part of GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.

Later I’m surprised by seeing the below report.                                                           //According to Hindustan Times , New Delhi,  July 23, 2012 .First Published: 20:51 IST(23/7/2012) | Last Updated: 01:24 IST(24/7/2012)//

Every 3 minutes, an Indian dies in a road accident

India witnessed one road accident every minute in 2011 which claimed one life every 3.7 minutes, one of the highest in the world.

According to the latest Road Transport ministry report, a total of 4.97 lach road accident was reported in 2011. Though compared to 2010, the accidents have gone down by 1,945, the number of deaths at 1,42,485 has increased by over 7,000.

Driver’s fault accounted for a whopping 77.5% of the total road accidents while pedestrian and cyclist’s fault accounted for a mere 3.7% and defect in road condition just 1.5%.  Among the states, Maharashtra topped the list with the highest number of road accidents at 68,438 followed by Tamil Nadu (65,873), Madhya Pradesh (49,406), Karnataka (44,731) and Andhra Pradesh (44,165).  Mumbai topped the list of cities with 25,471 road accidents, Delhi came second with 7281 road accidents followed by Bangalore (6031), Indore (4995) and Bhopal (3459).  “It’s a worrying trend. We need to further step up efforts to bring down the number of road accidents,” said CP Joshi, road minister.

In another disturbing trend, of the total number of road accidents, 53.5% were reported from rural areas, reflecting a rising tide of  motorization  in rural India. Compared to this urban areas reported 46.5% of the total number of road accidents.    Between 2001 and 2011, while road accidents has increased by 2.1% , the number of fatalities has increased by 5.5 %. In comparison, during this period, the number of registered vehicles increased by 9.9%.   Young accident victims Officials also expressed concern over the growing number of young road accident victims. “A majority of road accident victims – 51.9 %  -- are in the 25-65 age group followed by 30.3% in the 15-24 age group,” the official said.

By seeing above report, we have to take any further strict action to save human life from road accident. But no one serious about this fact that’s why this is acting like a silent killer. Now I’m the person who is fighting against this silent killer, but I’m also facing a problem of investment for this project. So friends I need your valuable support and be a part of this project.
