In December 2022, the Association of Parents of Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder was founded.
One of the main goals of the Association is to help autistic children and their families, especially in the summer when the children have no activities because their school obligations end. Namely, our children attend a primary school and during non-teaching days they have no organized activities or a place to stay. The lack of the above is also a problem for parents, especially working parents who have noone to take care of their children.
The project called "Autism Summer Camp" would allow participants to stay in the premises of the Center for Autism during the summer months (we have permission to use the premises). For the implementation of the project, we need financial resources to cover overhead costs, food for the beneficiaries as well as staff costs.
Also, the idea is to realize music, art and sports workshops as well as occupational therapy in order to engage children and adults within the framework of the six-hour or eight-hour stay and in this way provide a better quality of life through increased quality of spent time.
