Autism service dog

Friends and family, I am raising money for a service dog which will be trained in the chicagoland area through the V.I.P. service dog foundation. As many of you know, Connor was diagnosed with Autism when he was just 2 years old. Throughout the years we've conquered so many obstacles, many of which weren't easy. The biggest challenge right now is the anxiety that seems to overwhelm Connor as of lately. I don't want to medicate him and I heard service dogs are good with calming anxiety. I also strongly believe that a service dog will be beneficial for safety purposes. Many kids with Autism wander or run off, Connor being one of those who are at risk. Prevention is extremely important especially the older Connor gets. He really deserves this because as a child with severe non verbal Autism he's overcome so much and reached milestones we were told he could never possibly reach. Please help my son get his life long companian and if there is money left over we will use for therapy that he desperately needs. The more therapy, the better! In fact it would be ideal to go over the donation amount and get some in home ABA therapy. That would be amazing! 

Service Dogs for Children with Autism act as constant companions to children with autism to help them improve social interactions and relationships, expand verbal and nonverbal communication, teach life skills, increase interest in activities and decrease stress within the family. A service dog doesn’t pass judgment, but breaks into the world of autism and becomes a crucial part of the family’s life.
