About Me

My name is Jack E. George. I earned my Master's Degree, in Special Education, from Notre Dame de Namur University located in Belmont, CA. I had the privilege of teaching autistic children through the years and completed my career with the San Mateo County Office of Education. Following these experiences I wrote "The Autism Handbook." It has been published in English, Spanish, and Chinese. During 2012 I had the opportunity to travel to China to offer workshops, seminars, and assist with in-home services. I have also traveled extensively in the U.S. where there are large Latino communities as well as in various parts of Mexico.

How Your Donation Will be Used

During my travels I have used my personal money as well as the royalties from my book to fund my expenses. Unfortunately, I can no longer afford to absorb these expenses in order to help the families of those with autism. Your donation will be used to print books. These books will be given to individual families, libraries, autism agencies, and other appropriate parties. Your donation will also assist me to travel in the U.S. to areas with large Latino communities as well as throughout Mexico. It will pay for my travel expenses. The donations will also be used for me to do in-home evaluations. The purpose will be to evaluate the youngster and offer suggestions to the families on how to better assist their child.

Who Will Receive These Services?

My goal is to assist as many families as possible who work daily with their autistic child. The donations will pay for workshops, seminars, and in-home services. The people served will be families living in the U.S. where there are large Latino communities. The focus, however, will be in various parts of Mexico.

Is This A Good Place to Offer a Donation?

Only you can answer this question. I truly hope you will believe it is. If you visit my website you will learn about my book. If you visit www.autismeducationblog.com you will find that I offer a variety of articles regarding this disability. Autism is truly a puzzle. It takes people like you to put the pieces together. Any donation you can offer will be deeply appreciated by me and the many families I plan to help.
