Australia is being ravaged by the worst wildfires seen in decades, with large swaths of the country devastated since the fire season began in late July.
At least 28 people have died nationwide, and in the state of New South Wales (NSW) alone, more than 3,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged. State and federal authorities are struggling to contain the massive blazes, even with firefighting assistance from other countries, including the United States.
All this has been exacerbated by persistent heat and drought, and many points to climate change as a factor making natural disasters go from bad to worse. By the brave efforts of the Australian fire department and a large amount of volunteers from all over the world, the fire has now been successfully controlled. but this does not end here. we need to help all those animals who have been injured or affected by this fire. we need to help the forest regain its beauty and help all those animals whose homes have just been burnt to the ground. I, Hardik Kundu, a proud student of Stamford American School, Singapore have taken up the initiative to start a fundraiser to help the cause. so I would like everyone to show their support and help me raise some money. it is for a good cause, even your smallest donation can make a huge difference. Thank You for your time and your support! The donation straightaway goed to 'The friends of Australian wildlife conservancy inc'. I have kept a goal for SGD 100,000. And i hope all of you will help me reach it.
