My home town of Union Beach has be hit very hard by Hurricane Sandy. My brothers Joe, Bill and I are hoping our family and friends here in Australia can help our family and friends in Union Beach get back on their feet. So many are homeless and the small community have rallied together to help keep everyone dry, warm and fed, but it is getting harder everyday. I know my family are one of many that are spending everyday helping those that have lost everything.

It is so hard being very far away, and when Sandy hit, the feeling of not knowing if your family and friends survived was one I would never wish on anyone. We feel so helpless, and thought that by creating this Relief Fund page, we can at least show how much we care for our little community.

So if you can help out in any way by donating any amount, we would be very grateful.

Please take the time to look through the many photos and the video taken by one of our cousins while our Uncle Bob was driving her through the town. This really shows you just what Sandy did to this wonderful town and it's families.

Cindy, Joe, Bill and our families Kristen, John, Aidan, Stacey, Brooke, Larry, Cathy, Daniel, Russ, Dani and Maddie would like to thank you all in advance for your help

  • To Cindy and family, This is only a small amount but I hope it helps in some way. May your extended family in Union Beach be safe, warm and keep well over the next few months. I can not imagine what they are going through but I hope they come out the other end re-energised and full of the zest for life. Gladys
