Aunt’s Fight Against Breast Cancer

She is my Aunt Lolita Fungo-Pena and this is her story battling with cancer.

On 2012, she was devastated by the news that she had breast cancer. During this period her family along with her 4 children have been trying to prepare themselves for a much bigger fight.

She has faithfully going to the doctor been and was given medications. On the fist stage, she was able to overcome after her operation. The family was happy to know about that.

A year after, she felt another lump in her left breast and so she decided to go to a doctor to be treated. Little that we know that her cancer has gone up to the 3rd level.

After speaking with her a lot of times, she considered to go and begin her chemotherapy. That was the first time I ever witness a family member going bald because of sickness after couple of chemotherapy.

She had a very hard time and decided to stop the therapy. It has been over 6 months now and her hair have grown along with other noticeable changes in her physical appearance.

She uttered to us that she feels that she will only be with us and her family until the End of the year or Christmas and we do not know how to respond to it.

I do not want to just see her like that without doing anything. GOD is the only one who knows when to take our lives and i still trust that miracles can happen. Her family needs her.

My aim is to gather funds to support her as she mentioned that if she has a chance, she will take the risk to get better again

She is now with Breast cancer stage 3.
