Campaign Story
Hello everyone,
I am a French PhD student who got accepted to this 2020 MIT Innovation & Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in Zagreb: It's an accelerated-learning program by MIT Bootcamps for students to learn and practice leadership and innovation principles taught at MIT.
My PhD is in Environmental Policy at Imperial College and I am working on modelling Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) techniques in order to meet the 2015 Paris agreement pledges, involving staying "well-below 2 degrees" compared to pre-industrial temperatures, with different techniques, such as BECCS (Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage), DAC (Direct air capture), Afforestation and enhanced weathering (chemical process accelerating rocks property to capture carbon out of the air).
I am willing to become an entrepreneur and getting this offer from MIT is an amazing opportunity to learn skills that will help me to solve global challenges. I am passionate about finding solutions to mitigate our carbon emissions and am determined to launch a company in carbon capture out of this experience.
So far, more than a hundred new ventures valued over $55 million have been launched by MIT Bootcamp graduates since its opening in 2014. It saw seven alumni getting selected for the Forbes 30 under 30 and six eventually admitted to the MIT. The entire program costs 6000 USD. A 3000-USD deposit must be paid on or before February 13th, in order to secure its involvement.
I will be unable to the participate to the Bootcamp without financial support and am trying to raise sufficient amount to make this dream possible. If you believe in my project, any amount you'd contribute would be significant and I would be very grateful for it.
