My name is Dawn Greenfield Ireland and I'm an award-winning author of 5 book series, screenplays, nonfiction books, online classes. I'm also a book publisher. My company, Artistic Origins has been in business since 1995.
I've just learned about the Texas Book Festival that will be held in Austin, TX the first weekend of November 2022. I've applied for a booth to be a part of this event. They anticipate approximately 50K people to attend. This is exposure that will get my books and services in front of many eyes.
Standard Booth Fee includes:
- 10′ x 10′ booth space within a large tent
- One 8′ covered/skirted table with two chairs
- One identification sign within booth
- One parking pass -- Additional parking pass for helper
- One exhibitor listing in Festival publication
- One exhibitor listing on Festival website, including link to your website
- Access to electricity
What I need help with is the cost of the paperbacks I will haul to the event. I have a total of 22 published books. I'll also bring client books. It has been suggested to bring at least 20 paperbacks of each. Even with my author discount at Amazon, that's a chunk of change for printing and the shipping.
My postcards and business cards are outdated, so I will be ordering those from PrintRunner for this event.
I'm sure there will be other costs that may come up between now (May 1) and the time to drive to Austin, so starting this campaign now will hopefully help with the planning≥
