ATITLAN ORGANICS VOLUNTEER TRIP

So, after three years I am back at it again! I will be embarking on another volunteer trip but this time in Guatemala. I will be volunteering my time and efforts on an organic farm called Atitlan Organics. They are a small (2.5 acre) highly diversified permaculture site located in the rocky coffee valley of Tzununa in Guatemala. I will donate my time each day to the upkeep of this sustainable and Eco-friendly farm that is run by some pretty amazing people. Typical work will include chicken, duck and rabbit daily care, fertilizing and mulching garden, filling in spaces in their developing food forest, terracing, propagation in the nursery, seed saving, making charcoal, selling at the market, and other types of activities. Donated money will go towards travel expenses and monetary or material contributions to this incredible farm which employs, supports and feeds local residents, teaches and sends a positive message about sustainable farming and protects the environment with it's practices.
