Ate Kat-Kat loves to laugh, sing and play the guitar and piano. Eldest of 5 siblings and is current working as an Operations Control Specialist in a BPO who does collections. She's a single parent with a 12-yr old daughter, Nikki, whom she raised and provided the best education as every mother would have wanted. Bills and motherly duties are the things she juggle day-in and day-out.
Last September 22, 2019, she started to feel excruciating pain inside her stomach and looked awfully pale. We rushed her to the nearest ER Hospital. She was initially diagnosed with severe constipation that caused her not to bowel and her tummy to bloat (like 6-months pregnant). The initial X-ray showed that her stomach is full of feces due to irregular bowel. September 23,2019, she vomited moss-green colored liquid in the morning and this alerted the nursed and the doctor that is why she was immediately scheduled for an emergency operation around 2:00 pm (Manila Time). The doctors in the OR were shocked to see that there was a big tumor-like mass developed in her large intestine that already ruptured and all the puss was all over inside her stomach plus all the bowel she have kept for weeks (even months due to constipation). The doctors rushed to inform my mama that ate may not be able to survive the operation for all her vital signs during the operation were flat line and that only a miracle can pull her out of death's peril . Mama and our family surrendered her to God. Around 8:00 pm (Manila Time), the doctors immediately called mama to come inside the Recovery room because after long hours of having flat line and being induced by strong antibiotics, ate suddenly woke up.
Fast forward today, 12th of October, ate had been diagnosed of Stage 3 Colon Cancer and she's still confined with hospital bill costing 420,000 pesos. Her health insurance had been maxed out plus she needs to be treated immediately by Chemo medications. Her 1st week in the hospital costed a lot for this was the time she was injected with high doze of antibiotics to kill the bacteria in her blood stream due to the ruptured tumor and feces. Her protein and potassium levels went below normal levels and medicines to help her recuperate costed 10,000 pesos per day. She also needs to be fed with a nutrient bag that costed 6,000 pesos a day too.
Our whole family is knocking on your generous hearts for any donation to help ate Kat's hospital bills and her medication as soon as she's out of confinement.
