Walking through Light Support

I am Jennie Nodwell. I am the head director for Walking through Light Corporation. Walking through Light is a new Non Profit targeting emergency shelter for foster care youth in the Fremont, NE area. I have worked with foster youth going on 5 years now. I received a calling in 2016 to start my own foster care shelter program. I have been working in jobs to prepare me for this role for the last 5 years. My goal is to provide a place for foster youth to be able to come for placement for up to a month where they feel safe, secure, loved, and learn new social emotional skills for when they return home or go to another foster care placement. We are a God centered organization. We will be encouraging youth to participate in youth group and church. We will also engage in prayer at meal times. We do not currently have a place to call "home" yet. We are working on funding to provide a place for the emergency shelter along with gaining tax exempt status.
