On the night of the 4th of August 2014 a valued member of the Astrophotography Community lost over £3500 worth of equipment due to a power surge.
Heart broken, Aaron posted in a Facebook group that what was left of his astrophotography was now up for sale.
We all know what it is like to even lose an eyepiece or to have damage done. Even with my small amount of equipment, I would be devastated if I were to not have any part of it.
Aaron is a hard workind young man with a young family to support. After years of saving and working hard, Aarons' pride and joy is now useless to him.
Aaron is well known throughout the astro community, so I ask you to please think hard what would it woud feel like if this happened to you? With the wages here in the UK and brining up a young family, Aaron will never afford to build up his equipment back to what he lost in a few seconds.
Aaron is a serious astrophotographer and anything less than he had just would not suffice, I think this is the same for all of us, don't you? Everything that is electrical on the image is now useless.
I know that the astro community are good people with warm hearts and hopefully for Aaron, deep pockets.
I own Amateur Astrophotography Ezine, and all donations from the day this donation project went live until the day it finishes forwarded to the ezine, will be donated to help Aaron get his hard earned equipment back.
I know if this had happened to me, I would hope my astro friends would help me out in some way.
Clear skies my friends
