Assisted living facility

How many of us have loved ones at home that need care? We all do but there is not enough places that are affordable or available to place them. Your loved one’s may not be at the stage where they need skilled nursing services. However, they do need a more stable and supervised type of environment. This may cause a burden for the caretaker and the resident goes without much-needed assistance. What do you think when you hear the term nursing home? To me it means a place to put someone when you have nowhere else to place them. The type of environment is based off of the facility that they are placed. Not every facility is a bad place to be, but they cannot offer the benefits of a small home assisted living.I have worked since I was a child going to work with my mom. She is a natural-born caregiver and I followed in her footsteps. I have worked in many healthcare environments and I have always found room for improvement. I would like to open an a home based assisted living that provides twenty-four hour care. Where the residents will live at home as if they were with their own family. They would receive three home cooked meals. Activities designed for each resident. Medication assistance, appointment scheduling, transportation and assistance with activities of daily living. By offering this style of living I can provide one on one care with each resident. Increasing the quality of life. There would not be twenty or more neighbors right down the hallway. With a bunch of caregivers running around to get all of their work completed for the day. There would not be a resident feeling down and depressed. All because he or she wanted a caregiver to spend ten minutes having a conversation about the residents earlier days in life. The only focus would be on the group of individuals inside the house. My assisted living would provide a comfortable and nourishing environment. All the funding raised will go towards furnishing and development of this assisted living home. I want to be the difference that my community so desperately needs for our elders.
