Hello! My name is Bablu. I am a 32-year-old first-generation, migrant from Lumbini, Rupandehi, Nepal. Currently completing my Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, I’m on track to graduate in June 2019, as long as I meet the study abroad requirement for this degree. I have chosen to travel to Tokyo, Japan and take two, 3-unit courses in environmental engineering and engineering ethics.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve wanted to be an engineer. As a kid, I was constantly building things out of LEGO's, cardboard, Erector Sets, wood scraps – anything I could get my hands on. At 7 years old, I designed and built a small BMX track in my backyard that was used by all of the neighborhood kids for a couple of years. My dream is to use my degree in civil engineering to pursue a professional engineering license and design structural plans for commercial buildings and indirectly contribute towards the well-being of the blooming and developing Nepal.
A total of 15 classes for this Engineering program in TITECH Tokyo would take me approximately 94 days and will cost me the followings:
Accommodation : USD 64 x 94 = 6,016.00
Flight KUL-NRT : USD 1,626.00
Fees : USD 13.276.00
Others, Food etc : USD 4,000
TOTAL : 24,918.00
The burden of this cost is on me and my parents, despite applying for all applicable scholarships and grants.
Please donate and share to help me accomplish this dream! I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me.
