Good day!

As a teacher at Bacoor National High School-Molino Main, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself and share bits of my life. My name is Marissa T. Nario and I’ve been teaching for 21 years in Bacoor National High School. Teaching students to be the future of our country is not an easy task. According to a Health and Safety Executive of Britain, Stress is more prevalent in public service industries, such as education, human health and social care work activities and public administration and defense. We are not just teachers in the classroom; we also serve as second mother and guidance counselors to the learners. . Aside from being a teacher, I’m also a mother of two and a wife. Every day, I need to wear a mask inside the classroom to conceal the problems I have in home and become an inspiration to the learners.

Unfortunately in year 2012, I started feeling different ailments. It started with a weekly fever and occasional headaches. I was hospitalized thrice in a row. For the first time I was hospitalized, they only predicted that I’m anemic. For the second time, I was diagnosed to have a typhoid fever. Instead of being healthy after being hospitalized for twice in a row, according to my husband, two nights after being hospitalized, I was having a very high fever and hallucinating. My whole body gave up. The third time I was hospitalized; I stayed in Intensive Care Unit for a month, and was diagnose to have LUPUS. According to my child, I cannot recognize them and was always hallucinating in the ICU. Five systems of my body where affected. The doctors told my husband if I won’t try to fight; there is a chance that I won’t survive it. I recovered after a six months. One of the effects of it is I cannot walk properly but still I am teaching because I want to inspire my students that despite of this I survive. In year 2016, in the start of the school year, I had fractured bone. I have a very brittle bone because of the medicines I intake. Again this year, 2018, I am so excited going to school after having a long vacation because of that I had a peripheral nerve injury. I am now having my therapy three times a week at Molino Doctors Hospital.

Thank you for having time to read this letter. I hope that this letter inform you about my current situation.

Sincerely yours,

Organizer
