Campaign Story
Hello, friends, family, good people.
On October 22nd 2017, Clare 718 and David 704 from the Ashford branch of Samaritans are going to try to do the Great South Run to raise some funds to keep our branch running. It is 16 kilometres (10 miles) of running around Portsmouth.
We need approximately £12,000 a year in order to keep our branch running (phone lines, bills, materials, training) so that our 55 volunteers can continue to answers calls, emails, texts throughout the day and night. In 2015, our dedicated volunteers answered 10,092 calls, 345 emails, 1162 texts, and welcomed 32 people into the branch to talk to us face-to-face. We want to keep being able to do this, so please support us! Any and every contribution is helpful and amazing!
