AshanTea and Herbs lifestyle shop

Ashantea is a home based tea and herbal remedy start up, started in 2015 by Majame Masila, a young black female entrepreneur based in Johannesburg, south Africa. the aim of the start up is to allow easy access to natural health and wellness products to the diverse community of Johannesburg.

i have been trading in social markets in and around Johannesburg namely, Soweto theater's art and craft market and seven color Sunday markets ,introduced some African style rice paper rolls at the Red bull amaphiko film festival in Soweto empowering the youth in Johannesburg to use their talents to solve social problems in their communities, served tea at the album launch of The Gurulogic Band,a collective of young, vibrant and talented musicians, who have graced stages both in South Africa and Internationally.

It has been my longstanding dream to have a tea&herb shop since the beginning of my journey with natural medicine in 2007.

i have explored different kinds of african herbal medicines and power foods with the intention making them more accessible to the urban population. the shop will be based in the Maboneng precinct, a very vibrant and upbeat Johannesburg neighborhood where culture meets innovation.
