Asekhona is an ambitious and inspiring young girl who is determined to get an education and rise above the shackles of poverty. Despite coming from an underpriveleged community with poor access to resources, she managed to complete matric and get into a prominent Cape Town College where she is pursuing a diploma but due to her financial situation, she cannot afford the basic requirements she needs to fulfil this dream. Her mother is a maid and is unable to help. All she needs is a laptop and money for transport, otherwise she cannot attend classes or complete assignments.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. Let us come together and support Asekhona's future and show her that she is not a prisoner of circumstances.
