Dom and his Westbury Arts & Drama Project (Johannesburg, South Africa) need your help.

Westbury is an area of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a violent, poor community where drugs and guns still rule the streets. However, there are some amazing people working on the ground bringing community cohesion and a little happiness to their lives.

Dom is from the Westbury community. By day he is a teacher at the the local secondary school. After school he becomes a mentor and role model to his community. He runs arts projects Tuesday to Friday and tries to get as many people involved as possible.

Dom runs his projects - dance and music to name a few totally without funding and he passionately believes that arts should be put back into the community.

These dancers are practicing for a carnival happening in September and they really need costumes.

So why am I crowdfunding?

Because I've not seen a happier bunch of dedicated kids this side of the equator in a long time.

Because these kids have seen and been subjected to violence on a daily basis and deserve a break.

Because Dom is a very special teacher.

Because the troupe need some beautiful, colourful costumes to dance in.

Please support this worthy cause.
