Artists Welfare Project Inc.

Since 2007, Artists Welfare Project Inc has sustained the coming together of Filipino artists from different disciplines; artists guided by the vision of an increasingly empowered and self-reliant Filipino artists’ sector that is better able to provide for its own needs with the help of government, business, and civil society institutions that care for artists and the arts. AWPI’s mission is to facilitate Filipino artists’ participation in government programs for medical, hospitalization, disability, incapacity, retirement, housing and similar benefits; to contribute to the Filipino artists’ empowerment through capacity building programs on artists’ rights, arts management, arts education, wellness, legal information, and other areas of concern; and to engage in activities that sustain the organization.

This gogetfunding campaign is a way to raise funds for the operations of AWPI. With your generous donation, existing projects such as the HMO for artists, AWPI Talks, Lawyers for Artists Welfare and the pending AWPI Bill at the Legislative can be sustained and developed. AWPI sustains itself through membership, grants and donations.
