Artificial Intelligence Scholarship

My name is Alexandra Espichan, I’m a 23 year old Peruvian woman passionate about artificial intelligence issues. I studied Informatics Engineering and I’m currently a research assistant at the Artificial Intelligence Group of my university.

I have been awarded the #WeAllFitWomenScholarship to the value of 5990 Euros to study Artificial Intelligence Engineering at Akademy.AI in Barcelona as part of their Autumn Cohort from October, 14th to December, 20th, 2019.

They were offering this scholarship because currently, only 22% of the world’s AI professionals are women. At Akademy.AI they profoundly dislike this statistic and, as part of their AI ethics pledge, they are committed to ensuring future gender parity in the field.

So, I am excited about this because this scholarship is intended for the inclusion of women and other underrepresented groups in Data Science and AI.

I need to raise 3300 Dollars for the trip. This will go towards:

- 2300 Dollars: for accommodation during my stay (lodging, food, transportation)

- 1000 Dollars: for the round trip flight from Peru

I need to have the funds by October 12th, 2019.
