"Arte y Solidaridad" a Road-Movie type Documentary
Antoine Burgos is taking us on an adventure: a 3 year trip around South America!!! Each week, he will be sharing his journey with us as he meets and comes across people and places, bringing us to discover another way of living on the other side of the world! At the end of those 3 years, a documentary will be created from all the filming during his time in South America, including what has not been discussed in the Vlogumentary! This unique journey will lead us to deep and remote places, from the Colombian jungle, to meet a Tayta master from one of the indigenous communities, to the Andes’ highlands to discover the frozen lands of Tierra del Fuego! The journey, through music and different arts, will be particularly colorful and emotionally rich.
Helping by giving more value to organizations, NGOs, foundations and collective citizens by supporting them and giving them more visibility internationally is Arte y Solidaridad’s goal!
By their side, Antoine Burgos will learn their way of living through their culture, their daily life and the actions they have chosen to improve the living conditions of their community. In doing so, he will have the opportunity to exchange with them
his own skills such as music, web development, digital project and community management, health, languages (French,
English, Spanish or Portuguese) or even teaching them how to become greener through sustainable building, organic
farming, herbalism or permaculture.
The Road-Movie will start in Bogota, Colombia, by meeting a local therapist and educator who will take us to a master Tayta (called chaman), interviewing him about his practice and culture. Then she will take us to the heart of the Caribbean jungle within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta’s local tribe (Kogis) who will share with us their practice, beliefs, rituals, sacred places, art and their message to the rest of the world. An amazing footage to come... After several meetings and portraits of other organizations and collectives, the movie trip will be traveling as follows: Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana.
Why 36 MONTHS ?
Why travel this long? As the goal is to actively support and give visibility to various structures, we wish to do so by volunteering ourselves, reducing our costs of housing and food to a minimum. We believe this will also give us the opportunity to capture privileged moments by camera to produce a high-quality film!
