Art college laptop

Hello! I'm Shizuka, currently a student at an art-focused high school.
I mostly draw traditionally, as digital is not an option right now.

I currently own an old laptop that is not good enough for doing art assignments we get at school. I can only do them on school computers, which we cannot take home. But if I want to continue my studies at an art college, I need my own laptop to create.

I already tried looking for available jobs, but every one of them needs employees above 20 years, and as I'm only 18 years old, getting the job is not possible for me.

I would really like to use the software on my own computer, so the finished product wouldn't look rushed because of lack of time (we only have these classes once per week). My current laptop doesn't even meet the minimal requirements, and it's too old for new versions of Windows (I have Ubuntu). With a new laptop, I'd also try myself at animation, which I currently cannot do.

I have always loved creating art, and I'd like to continue creating it in the future as well.
