My name is Iva Visosevic and I am an visual artist from Zagreb, Croatia with MD in painting and drawing from Academy of Fine Arts and fashion design from Textile Technology Faculty in Zagreb, Croatia.
I have been invited by applying on a contest of La Wayaka current on art residency in Panama in Autumn 2019 to stay in little village Guan Yala and work on my art, learn from people there about village tradition, making textiles and craft's and I would like to make art workshops for the kids from the village and teach them painting and drawing while I am there.
This concept will be for my researching and for my art residency work and I would like to exhibit my work together with children's work in Panama gallery at the end of my art residency program.
It would be my great honor and pleasure to be given an opportunity to work and create with residency team, children and people from Guan Yala.
There are several reasons why. I think being a part of residency team would leave a valuable mark and it would be immensely significant for my future and carrier, as well for me personally.
I am very interested in exploring and developing my work in a new environment and in a place with new and creative people around me to inspire me. I feel this experience would lead me into new visions and perspectives , and help me explore myself as well as my art and my creativity. It would also empower me to find a new way of expression with different people around me, as well as new nature and landscape and feeling a full range of emotions for shifting into exciting dimensions of consciousness and creation.
In my art work I am interested in the inner experience, attitudes, feelings, intuitions and visions and how to transfer them into visible reality and how to transfer my own experience to the kids in a fun and playful way and to teach them about art, painting and drawing and show them that is important to believe in yourself no matter what is going on in life.
I am open to any type of collaboration and funding.
It would be nice to raise this funding for my materials for workshop and ticket to Panama from Monterrey because at that time I will be volunteering and teaching art in kids Summer Camp in Monterrey in Mexico.
Materials I need for working are papers, crayons, watercolors, brushes, tempera, colored pencils, markers, scissors, color paper, ink, pastels and any art material for kids.
Please know that if you choose to donate, any amount will make such an impact, just knowing you support me in this work!
I am very grateful.
Thank you so much.
