Campaign Story
Marine Conservation Project
Next year, I will be travelling to Fiji for 6 weeks to volunteer in a conservation development program, where I will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that works closely with marine conservation efforts. The work that I will be doing there will be facilaitated by the charity GVI: Global Vision International. Not only will I gain new skills, but i'll have the opportunity to volunteer for a very worth while effort.
My Goal: Is to strive to make a real impactful contribution through my volunteerism.
During my first week I will be staying in a Traditional village, getting to know the local community and learning the Fijian language.
I will be doing things such as:
. Data Collection on targeted fish species
. Setting underwater cameras
. Tagging and release of marine life
. Protection of the Coral Reefs through Habitat mapping
. Visiting local schools once a week to run Environmental Awareness Programs for students
I am dedicated to this project and i'm super excited to start volunteering. With your help I will be able to make this a possibility! Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance for assisting me in reaching this goal.
Thank you!

Arielle is my best friend and I am so excited to see her take on such a worthwhile project. I know she's done her research and I can't wait to see her help our planet, one project at a time :) -Laurence
