I am an indie game developer who wants to finish/publish a fighting game in development and I need a bit more funds to do so. This is my first big project, I grew up developing small games which were mainly tests (Mario-like platformers, space shooters, etc.). As a child, I always wanted to make a "better" fighting game for everyone called "Arena Fighters", which would be easy to handle. I had no development experience at the time, so I would mainly just draw a lot of pictures of how the game would be played, the characters, menus, features, promotional pictures, etc. As my development experience increased, I finally decided to pursue this passion, and I am almost done, but I need support to get it finished and published however. - The Game - Arena Fighters is a game that has been in constant development for quite a while. The game is a 2.5d fighter where two players choose a character and go at it in intense combat. The game is currently in development for Windows, Mac, Linux platforms, and Android. iPhone and iPad is a platform in consideration for porting. There is online multiplayer, as well as cross platform multiplayer as well.Players familiar with modern fighters should feel right at home when they play for the first time, as well as players who have never played a fighting game before. While it is easy to learn and do combos, the game will not entirely hold your hand for you. If you want to just simply win, that's one thing, but if you want to be the best of the best, you will have to practice. Damage scaling is used to avoid long combos from erasing health bars too quickly, and to prevent spam moves from eliminating opponents too easily. There is a great storyline in the game, amazing music scores, and high quality visuals, no matter what device you are using. In the mobile versions, you have a touch joystick and 6 buttons, similar to how PC users would play, a true "fighting arcade" experience, and not restricting the user to have to deal with swiping around the screen to do basic moves. We plan on having offical tournaments in the online multiplayer section of the game, with real world prizes and money. But that is something we will look at in a later time.   - What happens if we get funded? - If we successfully get funded, we will use the money to carefully aid the development of the game, without going overboard our limit. We have a roadmap, development plan, and have already calculated what we are going to spend on what, and how much it will be. While "overspending" may not be a issue, the only thing that could be a problem is if we do not have enough time to release the game by the month listed on the rewards section (June, May for beta.). If this happens, we will inform backers and reward people for free because of their patience. Any other problems we will be sure to inform backers so they know what is going on, we will not leave them worrying that they may have spent their money on nothing. Please help and donate, you will be helping out a small indie dev release a big game.
