It's actually the way that art & music used to be created, centuries ago - it was all done through the support and backing of various patrons, who would get involved from the start and support the artists throughout their project.
But now, we live in a time when it's really tough to make a career in music - let alone make a profit! - and each album we make is a huge investment, and a risk. It's a dive into the unknown.

With this new acoustic album, we really want to go in and capture some incredible, intimate versions of songs we know will work brilliantly in a stripped-back style. Taking away all the layers and exposing a song in its bare 'naked' form can be a risk, and a test of your songwriting - but then, we've always liked taking risks!

Our amazing fans have always been instrumental in keeping the band moving forward, from our over-capacity first show, to helping us pack the house at some of the city's hottest venues like Brooklyn Bowl, Le Poisson Rouge, and Highline Ballroom. We want you all to be able to experience this next huge step alongside us.

We hold these truths to be self evident that all bands must work to make a living. Thus there can often be delays in the recording process. We've worked a lot on planning things out, so we anticipate that things should keep moving along pretty smoothly- but there's always the possibility that it will take more time than we hope to get things sounding just right. And of course being a band with regular daytime jobs, scheduling sessions can be difficult. That said we're putting in long hours working on this album like crazy to make sure it gets done in a timely manner. and that when completed, it will be a quality product that you can enjoy and we can be proud of.

Like I said in the video, I will head into the studio in early May so that it should be done in June so I can send everything out to everyone. If something happens and the mixing/mastering process takes longer, then the shipment of rewards will have to be delayed. If this happens, it should only delay the shipment by a few weeks at worst.

Like a growing number of music lovers around the globe, we believe in the inimitable qualities and idiosyncrasies of analogue production and enjoyment of phonographic records.
With that in mind we tailored the musical concept, artwork and production aesthetics of this album to a 12" vinyl record that comes in a high-quality-print gatefold cover sleeve.

Despite all efforts to organise our actions in a most professional manner, creative work isn't always a straight line - our attitude is that detours, delays and surprises may even present hidden opportunities! We believe the best way of dealing with any unforeseen delays, necessary changes of plans whether personal or technical and unforeseeable obstacles, is to keep our backers informed about our working process.

Having been a self promoted band for some time, we've become pretty self sufficient when it comes to logistics and know how to get this stuff done. We already have a mastering engineer lined up, vinyl manufacturer, etc.

We want to make this explicitly clear, we are not a real band. Just a group of guys who like to play music/rhythm video games together and will send you videos of them doing so. Thank you for your support. We do it for the fans!

My dream is to get a professional album made! First, create the album and if funds remain, I would love to go on a tour! I have been putting together some great compositions that I want to share with the world. For 3 years I have been Creating Hip Hop Music with Meaning. Jamming away when a fan suggested this great community. Now I have this amazing opportunity to pursue my dream! And if we can raise enough funds I'd love to record even a second album.

Only if I raise more money than my goal of 10K I can think about setting up a tour sometime in the future if this project is successful. I would like to start in the U.S. but also want to tour Europe, Asia or any other continent which will present itself with opportunities! Generating funds with this project and my first professional album will help me in realizing my dream of touring the world and play for all my fans!

Once completed and mastered the Arcticohen will release digital downloads of this record on a 'pay what you want' rate after initial sales. They will follow up with a smattering of live dates locally and a multitude of mini tours to promote their new record.
