Greetings brothers and sisters,
I am a hawker who hawks second hand(Mtumba) socks for a living. I used to hawk at bars and local joints which as at now are not operating due to Govt directives. During day time, i could visit open air markets specifically Tala Market and sell during the Market days, currently I can't travel to the Market since its outside Metropolitan area. Business died like that.
I also could sell from the estate pavements( Tala) but no one is daring to touch second hand socks coz they say it has corona after government banned exportation of second hand clothes from China to Kenyan markets. Imagine waking up by 6:00 in the morning going to display my socks in the streets but ending up not selling even a shilling, by 6.30pm i have to rush home because of curfew. I end up sleeping hungry. It has been so stressful my friends.
I can't recall when i slept a good sleep, ate a balanced diet, or even ate more than one meal in a day. For the past two days I have survived with ovacados. The ones you have to cut and check if there's edible parts to eat, while others are completely bad. I'm in so much pain.
My Landlord has waived my rent arrears(i thank God for that) on condition that by 30th I must not be seen anywhere near his plot failure to which i will be subjected to pay my rent arrears and still vacate.
I'm humbly appealing to you, to stand with me I manage to vacate at least by 25th, and to place a meal on my table, soap, tissue,Kerosene and some households. Kindly stand by me. May God give you more and more my giver and grant you your heart desires. Service to mankind is service to God.
