Impact Freshmen Students for effective life on Campus

I am a staff worker with Fellowship of Christian Unions in Kenya, an organization that works with University and college students in Kenya to empower them for effective life on campus. I am in charge of fundraising funds for the organization.

For this campaign, I am focusing on raising funds for our Freshmen in college program called Anza Fyt.

Anza is a Kiwahili word which means to start or to begin. This is a program run by the Fellowship of Christian unions in Kenya. It was started because a need that presented itself among College and University students who lack guidance on how to live effectively in campus.

Anza FYT- First Years Training program that seeks to facilitate the First Years for smooth transition into campus and give them holistic preparation for effective student life. This program focuses on the SEAS (Social,Economic, Academic and Spiritual) of life. This program runs every September to December during the main college intake seasons in Kenya. This year we are targeting to reach at least 10,000 freshmen.

The money will be used to

• Facilitate the 62 staff to travel to the meetings and training sessions- 2,000 USD
• Develop materials for training and orientation - 2000 USD
• Give a copy of a book called pursuing sexual purity a Bible study guide developed by the Fellowship of Christian Union. Each guide costs 0.6USD total 6,000 USD

1. The Fellowship of Christian Unions is a registered Charity- No 2012092/1423.
2. Our organization is affiliated to International Fellowship of Evangelical Students and donations can be channeled by making a tax-deductible gift through IFES/USA http://ifesworld.org/en/give just specify FOCUS Kenya.
3. The organization has existed for 43 years and we have annual general meetings, audited accounts and governance board.
