Campaign Story
Jiggers is a parasitic infestation that usually enters the body though a break in the skin of the feet, a Condition caused the the burrowing of a Gravid. female jigger, it affects poor, shoeless people. African orphans are frequent victims, the infestation may lead to sickness or even death.
zantara in an organization whose major activity is to eradicate Jiggers. Jigger infestations is of great concerns in Kenya, it has negative impact on the economy as well as the family and the community. School dropouts, absenteeism and decline in community health have a long term results.
1.I’m raising funds to create awareness through educational campaigns to reduce discrimination and stigma.
2. I’m raising funds to initiate a program of regular visits by mobile clinics to the affected areas on regular basis for treatment.
3. I’m raising funds to purchase and distribute shoes.
4. I’m raising funds to get medicines -we will stage outreach programs to locate and treat victims with medication and sanitation.
