I’ve been selected to participate in the 2041 Antarctic Youth Ambassador Programme which requires a trip to ANTARCTICA! The trip costs $20,000. I am hosting fundraising events, making whales and approaching sustainable companies but I need your support to make this dream a reality.

2041 is a foundation that wants to inform, engage and inspire the world to protect the last wilderness Antarctica. Each year a group of Antarctic Defenders voyage to the frozen continent to gain knowledge about the fragile eco-system, to learn about the effects of climate change on Antarctica and to understand what we can do to protect it!

Antarctica is governed by the Antarctic Treaty System, established in 1959. This unique agreement ensures that Antarctica is used for peaceful purposes only and the protection of the environment. Currently there is a moratorium banning drilling or mining on Antarctica established in 1991. This document can be reviewed after the 50-year anniversary in 2041. Although we have 29 years till the moratorium can be reviewed the slow pace of international negotiations demands we start talking about it now to ensure Antarctica remains untouched.

This voyage is another step in my environmental journey. It’s a step towards creating a worldwide movement for sustainable living and renewable technologies based around protecting the world’s LAST wilderness! It’s step to getting my ideas out in the world. It magnifies the sound of my voice and demands it to be heard. Although I’ve only been on this earth for 23 years I fully believe I can be the change I want to see in world!
