Antara Suria dan Purnama — Short Film

Hello everyone! We are a group of graduating students from Puttnam School of Film & Animation in Lasalle College of the Arts, and we are seeking your support in funding our Short Film project.

Set in late 1970s, Antara Suria dan Purnama (In Between the Moon and the Sun) follows the struggles Noor goes through to hide her autistic daughter so that her husband can become the imam (religious leader) of the village. The film has been in development since June 2020, and the principal photography will take place in late January 2021.

WHAT WE NEED

We are seeking to raise $6,000 to make Antara Suria dan Purnama a reality. Your support, big or small, will help us in many ways:

• Actors fees to breathe life into Noor and her family
• Location fees for a kampung Noor lives in
• Props and costumes of the 1970s
• Our 6D5N adventure to shoot in Pulau Ubin
• Production expenses including transportation and meals for our cast and crew

Covid-19 has hit the film industry hard this year. As students, we are greatly affected as Covid-19 has taken its toll on conventional funding grants and job opportunities. However, we are rising beyond the challenges and taking our learning into our hands. We depend highly on the generosity and support from everyone, to help us turn our dreams into a real and tangible reality.
