Annetta Fisher’s Breast Cancer Fund

Dawn is 34 year old nurse who has dedicated her life to helping others in there time of need. She has been a nurse for 15 years and has loved every minute of it! On September 26,2013 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was something that was very difficult for her tell her family and 9 year old son. This was something that she didn't ever expect as there wasn't a family history. She had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. It wasn't until after the surgery that she learned that she had stage 2a Triple Negative Breast Cancer and the lymph node closest to the tumor was positive. She then had to go back and have a lymph node dissection and portacath placement for chemotherapy. Thankfully all the additional lymph nodes were clear. She started her chemotherapy on December 10, 2013. She is sharing her journey through this process on facebook on a page called My Battle with Breast Cancer. Her goal is to help one person during her journey. She has been off work since November 13, 2013 and unfortunately she does not have any earned time off to have a paid leave and medical bills are stacking up.
