Logline:

The life of a selfish girl lies in the hands of a young ghost who demands a cup of bubble tea as compensation.

Synopsis:

Anne's BBT is about a friendship between a selfish girl and a demanding ghost. They share the same interest in bubble tea, even liking the same flavour. However, Vanessa, the girl, buys a different flavour for Anne, the ghost. Anne demands to have Vanessa's drink and Vanessa does not give in. A conflict breaks out between the two of them

Director Statement:

During Circuit Breaker, the craze for bubble tea was real. Being inspired by the mere thought of people with bubble tea addiction, I decided to write a character like Vanessa. She is an 18-year old girl who loves bubble tea, just like every one of us. A flaw of hers is sharing her favourite drink, just like me. Having such bad habit, I thought of a way to get rid of it for Vanessa, which was to create Anne, a ghost who loves bubble tea just as much as Vanessa. However, Anne prefers sharing her drink with a friend.

This film talks about the scary yet heart-warming connection Vanessa and Anne shares through a cup of bubble tea. With a twist of horror and comedy, I hope for the audience to relate to this film as everyone has a flaw that places their friendship in a dangerous spot.
