An other operation at Nea Makri and Mati area,to dewarm the mysterious colony of kittens, and to collect 11 more injured cats. We whish we could have a bigger transportation to carry more animals. On the weekend we are planning a professional photoshoot for the rescued. Stay with us for news and updates. Please forward this fundraising page to anyone who can help, without your help we can not afford the next rescuing operation. Thank you all.

That was it..the lights slowly are shutting down, those feeders last week were full of food and fresh water, now only empty leafs. It is summer, people , volunteers included, are on vacation no one back to feed the remaining animals...We knew about that.August is a month with limited vets, and no volunteers.People forgot easily. In some areas we could see some old dog food, with no feeders just threw up on the street... Cats can not eat dog food, dogs from the other hand lways feed themselves with cat food if needed.

Update: Second rescue operation was with co-operation of Adespotologio, at the completely destroyed area of Mati.
A colony of 70 unuttered cats and another colony with 50 at least kittens between 2-4 months old, with completely absence of adult cats.. That was the most wired thing i ever faced.
We collected as many as we could.
3 people 2 vehicles...
My heart broke when i realized we didnt had enough cages, or space, or hands ,or traps for all of them..
I coulnd't just drive and let the others behind.
Back at the operation center

we put labels at each cage and send them to the vets.
Most of them had injured eyes, one 10 months old ginger boy was blind, others had breath problems, due to fire, burnt paws, a kitten made vomit full of warms.
We have to deal with pain and blood ladies and gentlemen.
It was a relief we didnt saw any dogs. In Greece people love dogs. With cats we still face a lot of prejudice. Imagine there are more than 100 animal welfare for dogs and only few for cats..
I totally melt when a rescued tortie cat look into my eyes when she was back in safety,at a clean place with a/c , food and fresh water. I will never forget her look.
We want to go back again but we reached the maximum capacity of animals we can host.
So at this very moment im asking if anyone leaves in Athens and wants to foster two kittens or and adult cat, after their medical treatment, please send us a pm.

We need:

- Foster homes for cats

-Adoptions (please send your interest here : [email protected])

-cat carriers size 1, and size 2.

-dewarming (frontline, stronghold advocate, drontal, panacure, milbemax, for kittens and adults)

-Any medicine, like ronaxan cynulox

Today together we achieved a second milestone 2000 euros at our fundraising page.

Thank you all for being a part of it.

Today we oprated at Mati area,

we found a colony with almost 70 abandoned cats, most of them with serious burns and respiratory problems.

We started collecting them but it will take days, the hands are few, the traps are not enough. We did order some more traps, it is a big ongoing project among others, always with respect to victims and animals.
