Who am I?

My name is Michal and some of you will know me from my other fundraising project for PIPS Suicide Prevention.

Who am I raising money for?

This time myself and some of my friends are fundraising for a very close friend of ours who is suffering from cancer. Some of you will know Ania closely and some of you have never met her. She is a young, wonderful woman who is fighting with this terrible and crippling dissease. There are no words that can describe our shock and anguish when we found out that Ania is ill. 

What am I raising money for?

There is a hope in a drug called Soranib that is available world-wide. Soranib is extremely expensive in Europe but we have found that there is a much cheaper version being produced in India. The cost of monthly treatment is close to £300. We are trying to raise as much money as possible to help Ania get the drug and get better. 

How can you help?

We don't ask for much. We ask you to make a donation and ask your friends to do the same then ask their friends to help Ania. Look through your friends list on Facebook and think how much we could raise if we would donate 50p or £1 each. Think how much we could raise if we'd ask all our friends and their friends to support this cause. If you are unable to donate at least pass information about our fundraising page to your friends. This will be a great help to our cause.

Na kogo zbieram pieniadze?

Tym razem wspolnie z kilkoma znajomymi postanowilismy zorganizowac skladke na rzecz naszej wspolnej bliskiej przyjaciolki Ani ktora cierpi na raka. Niektorzy z was znaja Anie osobiscie a niektorzy nigdy jej nie poznali. Jest ona mloda, wspaniala kobieta walczaca z ta straszna i wyniszczajaca choroba. Zadne slowa nie sa w stanie opisac naszego szoku i cierpienia kiedy dowiedzielismy sie ze Ania jest chora.

Na co zbieram pieniadze?

Istnieje jednak nadzieja w leku o nazwie Soranib ktory dostepny jest na calym swiecie. Soranib jest bardzo drogi w Europie ale udalo nam sie znalezc tansza wersje produkowana w Indiach. Koszt miesiecznej kuracji to kwota rzedu £300. Staramy sie zebrac jak najwiecej pieniedzy aby pomoc Ani w zakupie tego leku.

Jak mozecie pomoc?

Nie prosimy o duzo. Prosimy kazdego z was o datek i o to byscie przekazali informacje o naszej skladce do swoich znajomych i zeby oni poprosili swoich znajomych. Wer bin ich?

Ich heiße Michal und einige von Euch haben schon von meinem vorherigen Geldspendenprojekt PIPS Suicide Prevention gehört.

Für wen sammle ich das Geld?

Diesmal haben meine Freunde und ich beschlossen, für unsere liebe Freundin Ania, bei der leider plötzlich Krebs am Anfang diesen Jahres ausgebrochen ist, eine Spendenaktion zu starten. Manche von Euch kennen Ania persönlich, andere haben von Ania gehört. Sie ist eine junge, wunderbare Frau, die jetzt plötzlich und unerwartet mit dieser fruchtbaren Krankheit zu kämpfen hat, primär Leberkrebs mit Metastasen, vor allem in der Lunge. Es gibt keine Wörter mit denen man unseren Schock beschreiben könnte, als wir vor Kurzem von Ania‘s Krankheit erfahren haben.

Für was sammle ich das Geld?

Es gibt noch eine Hoffnung. Die heißt Sorafenib. Das ist ein Arzneimittel, das seit 2007 überall anerkannt ist. Sorafenib ist in Europa sehr teuer (ca. 5000 € von Bayer). Es ist uns aber gelungen das gleiche Medikament in Indien zu finden. Die monatliche Behandlung kostet etwa 300 britische Pfund. Wir versuchen also Geld zu sammeln, um Ania beim Kauf des Arzneimittels zu helfen.

Wie Ihr helfen könnt?

Wir bitten nicht um viel. Wir bitten um eine kleine Spende und um Weiterleitung dieses Spendenaufrufs an Freunde und Bekannte. Auf diese Weise könnt Ihr uns und vor allem Ania sehr helfen.
