2700 rescued animals need your help!

Angels Farm Sanctuary is home to 2700 animals of many species; cats, dogs, chickens, cows, camels, horses, donkeys, rabbits, and sheep. The first farm animal sanctuary in Turkey, the place provides refuge to abandoned, handicapped, or abused animals. The farm receives hundreds of calls for help every day and the number of animals under its care constantly increases. In order to provide enough space and accommodation for the animals, Sibel Çakır, who runs the farm and the associated official organization of HAYBAP Ferdinand urgently needs to purchase the adjacent land to expand the farm. The adjoining plot of land is available but is very expensive. It is 11.870 square meters and costs 1.5 million TLs which amounts to $100.000. We are launching this campaign to raise enough money to buy it and expand the refuge to give shelter to more animals in need.

Information about the farm:

Angels Farm Sanctuary is the first and the only farm animal sanctuary in Turkey. Its history extends back 30 years and was operated for 26 years in Ankara and was moved to İzmir, Kemalpaşa in 2016. The founder of the sanctuary is Sibel Çakır, who dedicated her life to the well-beings of animals of all species. Sanctuary provides accommodation for disabled, old animals who are in need of care as a priority. There, also reside cats, and dogs, exotic and wild animals. Sibel began her adventure with 5 chickens, 1 rabbit, and 2 cats 30 years ago. Today, the founder is responsible for housing 2300 animals of 104 different species and provides an example in Turkey by keeping Angels Farm Sanctuary as a safe haven for all animals who are in need of care. There are 100 donkeys, 100 sheep and goats, 4 camels, 45 cows, 14 bulls, 150 cats, 81 dogs, 100 rabbits, 3 ferrets, 60 lovebirds, 1 grey parrot, 50 pigeons and doves, around 100 fish, 70 goldfish, 250 koi fish, 7 mountain goats, 20 rams, 100 mice, hamsters, gerbils, 50 guinea pigs, 6 swans, 3 ostridges, 4 pheasants, 4 white large pigs, 2 water buffalos, 55 horses, 2 ponies, 1 mule, 50 turkeys, 20 disabled seagulls, 10 disabled wild animals, and around a 1000 winged animals of various species. Most of the animals have been rescued while in need of medical treatment, some were saved from slaughter and quite a few are disabled. Ferdinand, a bull who escaped from slaughter during the Sacrificial Bayram in Turkey and swam in the Black Sea is one of the famous animals rescued by the farm. One of our most prominent supporters is the famous philanthropist and singer Haluk Levent and the Ahbap Platform. Angels Farm Sanctuary documents all the donations and is a transparent foundation. The monthly expenditures of the sanctuary amount to 10.000 EUR and we are grateful for all of your help so that we can grow into a place where we can help more animals in need. 2700 kurtarılmış hayvanın yardımınıza ihtiyacı var!

İzmir, Kemalpaşa'da yer alan Angels Kurtarılmış Çiftlik Hayvanları Barınağı birçok türden 2700 hayvana ev sahipliği yapıyor. Bu hayvanlar arasında kediler, köpekler, tavuklar, inekler, develer, atlar, eşekler, tavşanlar, deve kuşları ve koyunlar var. Türkiye'deki ilk kurtarılmış çiftlik hayvanları barınağı olma özelliğini taşıyan barınakta yaşayan hayvanların çoğu terk edilmiş, engelli ya da işkence görmüş hayvanlar. Çiftlik her gün yüzlerce yardım çağrısı alıyor ve nüfusu sürekli artıyor. Çiftliğin ve HAYBAP Ferdinand derneğinin sorumlusu Sibel Çakır hayvanlara yeterli alanı sağlamak için çiftliğin hemen yanındaki arsayı satın almak istiyor. Arsa satılık fakat fiyatı oldukça yüksek. 11.870 metre karelik bu arsanın fiyatı 1.5 milyon TL. Çiftliğin devamlılığını sağlayabilmek, mevcut hayvanların yaşamlarını iyileştirmek ve daha çok hayvana yardım edebilmek, ancak birçok insanın katkısıyla gerçekleşebilecek bu hayali gerçekleştirmek için bu kampanyayı başlatıyoruz.
