Andy’s Rehab Kit for his 40th Birthday

In his 20's Andy Lawson was a successful young man with the world at his feet. In 2007 catstrophe struck and he found himself in the terrifying situation of having Locked In Syndrome. Tetraplegic, he could only move his eyes and it was years before he could communicate via an electronic eyegaze which allows him to look at letters to spell out words on a computer. Incredibly through such challenging times he has never lost his wicked sense of humour.

Now about to turn 40 he is determined to get himself moving again. To do this though he needs some specialist training gear! It is a hand and leg exerciser which he can use from his wheelchair - it costs £4880. So that is our target!

It will allow him to build up some movement and strength in his arms and legs and has all kinds of benefits for his overall health and wellbeing. I really hope we can raise the money to allow Andy to buy this kit. It will make a huge difference to him and would be a fantastic birthday present - he turns 40 on the 15th April 2015.
