Andrew Paske’s Costa Rica Fund

Hi Everyone!   My name is Andrew Paske and I have recently been accepted to participate overseas in a volunteer and leadership program with EDventure. EDventure is a volunteer organization which offers participants leadership and personal development certification, whilst engaging in meaningful volunteer projects in the developing world, I will be traveling with Adventure as a volunteer assisting in a humanitarian and conservation project in Costa Rica. During my program, I will spend 3 weeks engaging in leadership development workshops with other volunteers, while applying these skills directly to efforts in wildlife sanctuaries in Costa Rica. I am running this fundraiser in hopes to cover a portion of my  program costs.   I will be directly involved in creating positive change and providing direct support within Costa Rica. While working in conservation efforts, I will teach English, writing skills and organize group activities as well as help care for wildlife such as sea turtles and learn first hand about environmental issues that affect us on a global scale.   While assisting in Costa Rica, I will have direct contact with community members and community leaders, while also engaging in local cultural activities. This will help me to expand my international network, to understand the local communities and to build bridges with another culture that will further develop my global leadership skills.     This experience will provide me the skills I need to enhance my resume and prepare me to be an asset in the professional world as I pursue a career in non profit organizations.   I am very excited to have been accepted to the Adventure program, and am preparing for my trip by launching this fundraiser and more activities her to come a beautiful Chico State University!   Any financial support that could be provided for my Adventure Program would be greatly appreciated. The overall cost for the 3 week program is $3,500 (excluding flights). This includes my accommodations, meals, project resources, transportation within Costa Rica, and financial support for the community in which i will be volunteering.
