Recently, my family has been in difficult circumstances brought by threatening health problems My youngest brother, Lancer, 19 years old, works as a call center agent at TPG (a leading Australian ISP Telco) in Ortigas City. Hee was promoted at work on October 24, 2017. On the night of the same day, she had an unbearable lower back pain and with shortness of breath due to chest pain. He was also chilling with fever. I got a message from her roommate that she was rushed to the hospital. She was diagnosed with Urinary Track Infection (UTI). He was treated and felt better after several hours and got discharged. On the other hand, he still got a fever during the succeeding days so we took him to another hospital (Medical Center Imus, Cavite) on November 3, 2017. Several laboratory tests were initiated and he was diagnosed with pneumonia and pleural effusion on his left lung (tubig sa baga) along with Urinary Tract Infection and Renal Stone. he took medications with good compliance for 7 days but still with intermittent fever and productive cough. Due to persistence of symptoms, we sought second opinion at The Medical City in Ortigas on November 11, 2017. He was then diagnosed with pulmonary abscess (bukol sa lungs) and had undergone a surgery (CT guided biopsy). After 3 days, the abscess was seen to be forming again so he had to undergo his second surgery with CTT Tube insertion and CT guided biopsy. The surgeries and treatments were successful and effective. He was supposed to be discharged on November 26, 2017 but we didn't have enough money to settle the bill and we weren't permitted to have a promisory note. Our hospital bill had summed up to more than 550,000 pesos for his entire treatment. We were able to procure financial assistance from PCSO (70,000), Philhealth (10,000), HMO (70,000), Indigency discount (15,000) and Doctors’ Professional Fee Discount (52,000). However, those were not enough to settle the entire bill.

Please help us with our treatment.
