I am beyond excited to say that I'm heading to Lake Tahoe for the 2019 Spartan World Championship race!!!

For the past year I have put my heart and soul into training and competing in Spartan Obstacle course races. In 2018, after finishing 7th place in my very first Spartan race in Asheville, NC, I became hooked! The adrenaline rush I get from running OCR is unlike anything I've ever experienced. I've embraced both the mental and physical journey and fallen in love with the progress.

What I've learned in the last year from racing OCR is that we don't grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges. It takes courage to do the hard work, the kind that 95% won't even consider doing. To sacrifice. To risk. To dare. To try. To take criticism and feedback. To push through the pain and moments of doubt. To grow. But without these things, there is no success.

On August 24th I went to West Virginia to compete in the Spartan North American Championship race. It was a race where the best of the best came from all over the USA, Canada and Mexico to compete and battle it out for a qualifying spot at the Spartan World Championship in Lake Tahoe. The North American Championship was arguably the hardest race I've done to date. It took every ounce of physical and mental strength to finish. After 13.5 miles, 38 obstacles, 120 burpees, a crazy long swim and 4,500 ft. of climbing, I came across the finish line and knew I gave it my all. I finished 18th out of 60+ women in my category. It was one of my proudest moments and most memorable finishes because it qualified me for the 2019 Spartan World Championship in Lake Tahoe.

I have 3 weeks to train in full beast mode before I head out to Tahoe for the Spartan WC. My goal is to place in the top 15 in the world!

One thing I am hoping to do is partner with a few local sponsors as the costs to get to Tahoe with airfare, gear, transportation, lodging and the race entry fee can be a bit steep. In return for your sponsorship I would be happy to represent your company/brand by placing your logo on my race gear, help promote your company through the use of social media and help in any other ways that would be beneficial to you in representing your company/brand.

I am truly grateful for everyone who has supported me along this journey and I honestly could not ask for a better support system. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

~Andrea~
