Andrea’s Medical School Tuition Fees

Andrea Sermeno, or Dr. Sermeno as she dreams of becoming one day, is an honest, caring and hard working student. Andrea is from El Salvador and dreams of providing improved medical care in her home country. She has a passion for Medicine and and has previously helped raise medical awareness in a local primary school. Andrea studies in the Czech Republic where she is away from her friends and family.

After successfully completing two years of her six year course, financial insecurities seem to be the only hurdle pulling Andrea back . Studying Medicine is tough enough but additional pressures of a new foreign language, distance from family and stress regarding the payment of college fees has started to take its toll.

Each academic year costs Andrea €12,000. Even after some considerable aid from her struggling parents and her older brother, Andrea works over the summer in a call centre under high stress conditions for low pay to try and lighten the burden on her family.

Andrea has just passed her 2nd year and is already concerned about the €12,000 tuition fee that needs to be payed for by September 2019. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. Any money donated will go towards paying the college fees, for living costs and for study material such as textbooks.
