Since last September, I have been serving as the first Youth Delegate of Hungary to the UN, representing the interests of our young people – my fellow peers. I held speeches, negotiated, made recommendations to the government, shared best practices on sustainability, took the UN-knowledge home and got it out of Budapest in my first-ever country tour covering 2150 kms in about a week.
I did all this on my own budget. I was never covered. And now, I am out of money for the final trip abroad.
I ask for your help to fund my last flight to the UN, to fund the participation of the Hungarian youth at the UN High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. I promise not only to bring our interests to the table but to establish new relations and take them to Hungary and Central Eastern Europe. My visit to New York is essential to the creation of the first ever Visegrad-level sustainable development action platform – V4SDG – the 3-day event I am currently working on with my team. My visit would also aid efforts to reboot the HeForShe Movement in Hungary, due to the valuable assistance UN Women can provide in their New York office.
To the UN, for the future, one more time!
