"Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person"

Allow yourself to reflect with me for just a few minutes.

Everyone probably has that one hardworking friend. The ones who don't have the luxury to JUST enjoy school but also have to work afterwards as well. The ones who focus more on collecting books than collecting boyfriends. The ones who spend more time with their family than on hip, chic, whats-new-today trips. The ones who come home late at night after duty but still work on their schoolwork. The ones who are silent and timid in public but are actually great friends, loyal friends, and friends who will never judge every stupid decision you make.

Does this remind you of someone you know personally?

If it does, what would you do if a fire destroyed their home? How would you help them if all their plans in life needed to take a detour because of a sudden tragedy in their lives?

On February 3, 2019, out of no where, I got a text from my friend, Anawe.

"Huhuhuhu, ako grad pic naapil jud sa sunog"

(Huhuhuhu, I wasn't able to save my gradpic from the fire)

Her house had been engulfed by the Pardo fire.

She lost a lot in that fire, but the thing that got her down was something about school.

Now, me and my friends, we're not exactly famous people in school. We're not that active in extra curricular activities. But I promise you, there is no one who has the grit and spirit to thrive through adversity than our dear friend Anawe. In our barkada, she is that hardworking friend I just talked about.

She leaves school right after class to travel 2 hours to get to work. Comes home late at night and yet still shows up for class the next day. Puts her reading as a priority before boys. Always enthustiastic when telling us "no she cant laag" because she's gonna spend time with her family.

Well, Anawe is a graduating Chemical Engineering student of Cebu Institute of Technology University and her graduation is this coming March 23. She's been working on top of school for as long as I can remember just so she can help lessen the financial burdens of her family.. now we want to do the same for her.

✅✅✅ HELP US BRING OUR FRIEND TO GRADUATION BY RAISING FUNDS TO COVER HER REMAINING TUITION. ✅✅✅

We are trying to raise around P20,000 by March 10, 2019. You can donate through paypal, credit, debit card on the site but if you want to donate by cash you can always contact me or anyone of the following people below:

We all dream of becoming heroes. We all dream of making a difference in this world.. and we can all do that.

❤️❤️❤️ All we need is to have a heart to help Anawe get her brand new start ❤️❤️❤️

BE A HERO, DONATE.
