Campaign Story
Hello! We are group of Year 2 students from Temasek Polytechnic's Digital Film & Television. We are doing a documentary on the topic of teen pregnancies/young mothers in Singapore. Once completed, this project will be sent for external film competitions. As we are students on a tight budget, we hope that you can show your support by donating to our project. The funds will be used mainly for transportation and welfare.
Synopsis:
An Unexpected Blessing is a 8-10 minute documentary about the struggles of a young mother, in Singapore, who gave birth at the age of 18.
We hear her personal story of sacrifice and how a pregnancy led her on a journey of growth. This film reveals how a mother’s pain from being abandoned enabled her to view the struggles of being a young mother in a different light. As her story unfolds, we learn about how age doesn’t define one’s parenting capability.
This then poses the question: When then is anyone ever ready to raise a child?
