An’s Heart for Africa

In May-June 2013 I am going to

                                                     Namibia and Tanzania 

                                        for two months

to volunteer in a wildlife conservation project

                  at Noah’s Ark Wildlife Sanctuary and

                               as an English teacher  in the new

English department for trainee teachers

                                         at St. John's University in Dodoma.

On the world’s poorest continent there is a lot of work to be done to build a sustainable future for African communities, a future in which humans and animals can exist together. Many people do not have access to education, especially tertiary education, and plenty of wildlife gets attacked by poachers and local farmers who consider these animals pests. I wish to do something about this and contribute my time and dedication to the African people and African animals. In order to do this I need your help! 

Your donation

Travelling to Africa and setting up these two volunteering projects costs money. Your pledge will be used to cover the cost of flights, accommodation, day-to-day costs, visa, vaccinations and a donation to Noah’s Ark Wildlife Sanctuary. It will allow me to donate my time, effort, skills and experience to those who need it.

In mei-juni 2013 trek ik naar 

                                                     Namibië  en Tanzania 

                                        voor twee maanden 

om vrijwilligerswerk  te doen

in een natuurbeschermingsproject  voor wilde dieren

                  in Noah’s Ark Wildlife Sanctuary en 

                               als leerkracht Engels  in de lerarenopleiding

                                        aan St. John's University 

                                       in Dodoma. 

 

Er is nog heel wat werk aan de winkel om een duurzame toekomst op te bouwen voor Afrikaanse gemeenschappen in het armste continent ter wereld; een toekomst waarin mens en dier samen leven. Veel mensen hebben niet de kans om naar school te gaan, en ze hebben al helemaal geen toegang tot hoger onderwijs. Ik wil hier verandering in brengen door mijn tijd en toewijding aan de Afrikaanse mensen en dieren beschikbaar te stellen. Om dit te kunnen doen heb ik jouw hulp nodig!

Jouw bijdrage 

Naar Afrika reizen om deze twee vrijwilligersprojecten op te zetten kost geld. Jouw bijdrage zal worden gebruikt om de kosten van vluchten, verblijf, dagelijkse onkosten, visums, vaccinaties en een donatie aan Noah’s Ark Wildlife Sanctuary te dekken. Dit zorgt ervoor dat ik mijn tijd, inzet, vaardigheden en ervaring ten dienste kan stellen van zij die dit hoog nodig hebben.

Door dit project te steunen heb jij de kans om een verschil te maken in de wereld. Elke dollar telt…
