An Evening of Shakespeare is a new project from Dark Horse Theatre Company celebrating the work of William Shakespeare. A great nights entertainment will be had as we will present a programme comprised of scenes, monologues and dualogues from Shakespeare's works. We have an amazing cast onboard who are eager to perform consisting of Mike Timms, Martin Brennan, Muireann Toibin, Marie Hurley, Katie Noone, Conal O'Shiel, Alan Grant and Suzanne Cooper. The project will be directed by Alan Grant and Conal O'Shiel. We hope to perform this project as many time as possible throughout 2016 and we need your support. Our first performance will be in the Harbour Playhouse in Dublin on July 1st and 2nd and will also be entered into the Galway fringe festival 2016 for a two night run.
Dark Horse Theatre Company was founded in 2014 by Alan Grant and Aaron Byrne. It aims to break the mould with new writing as well as presenting classic works to audiences of all ages! We have two productions under our belt, 'A blessing in disguise', a comedy about meeting ones inlaws and 'The Kill', a dark crime drama. Both were performed in the Galway Fringe Festival and in Dublin respectively. This year we wish to pay homage to William Shakespeare and all his great works.
The project will feature scenes from Macbeth, A midsummer night's dream, The taming of the shrew, As you like it, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, Richard the Third and more! Please help us reach our goal and to perform this wonderful project.
