Today, the subject of purity has become a taboo that is seldom spoken about, often forgotten and mostly never practiced. The Bible states in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” Pinky Promise Movement was founded by Minister Heather Lindsey on January 27, 2012. She began simply by selling charm bracelets with the phrase “Pinky Promise” from the privacy of her home to encourage women to strive for purity and to not be ashamed to show it in a fashionable way. And so the movement began. But what IS Pinky Promise?  For the single person: It's a promise to honor God with your body. To refuse to give your body to anyone that hasn't paid the price for you called marriage. It's a promise to stay pure before God in EVERY single way. It's a promise that says, I won't test the boundaries in my relationship to see how far I can push it sexually--but instead--I want God to have my heart. For the married person: It's a promise to God that you will honor your marriage covenant. It's saying that I promise not to step outside of my marriage, cheat on my spouse and that I'll work through every issue. This group is to remind women that we are valuable in God's eyes. This group is composed of ALL women - single, married, divorced, and widowed - who love God and want to spread His word and save souls while serving as a network and accountability circle.

The women from the Northern NJ chapter of Pinky Promise have decided to organize “An Evening of Covenant: A Purity Pact Ceremony”. With the recent beginning of the New Year, many people decide to make and execute “new year” resolutions but we have decided to make declaritions before God, our families, friends and each other on Sunday, April 21,  2013 to not only honor God with our bodies, but with our minds and spirits.

In order to execute this event in decency, order and excellence before the Lord, we will need to purchase several items including location rental fees, printing materials, frames, roses, water, and decorations, to name a few, and we need your help!  If you are interested and willing to make a contribution, we would greatly appreciate it.  We understand that in today’s economy, God has called us to be wise with the allocation of our funds.  So we don’t count it robbery that you took the time to read this letter.

We greatly appreciate your support and as a result hope to see you at the ceremony on Sunday April 21, 2013 at 6:00pm.  The location and the address are forthcoming.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
