An au pair for Mands, Mia and Finn

Dear friends -

As you know, since October Mands has been subject to some extraordinary and terrible circumstances. In the wake these circumstances, the financial security of Mands, Mia and Finn has been thrust into total uncertainty. Mands has been exceptional in her commitment to the kids and through a very difficult period they remain happy and secure. However, with the baby due in early May, the daily task of managing the pregnancy, the kids and the household on her own is becoming a real challenge and she really needs some hands-on help as soon as possible. The height of her challenges at the moment is not knowing whether there will be enough money on their account for day-to-day costs let alone hired help in the form of an au pair (seemingly the best value child care option). She has already had to sell the family car to finance this interim period.

So, as a starting point, we're seeking your assistance in reaching out to those that can help us raise funds for Mands and to help relieve some of the financial stress at this critical time so she can focus on preparing for the arrival of another beautiful child. A really important target at this stage, is raising funds for an au pair to start as soon as possible.

Please promote this initiative with close networks, and circulate the link and password to important and understanding friends and family. Please respect the confidentiality of this initiative and help us ensure it is not shared with Mands or the spouse. At least for now, we believe this is for the best.

We are hoping to raise immediate funds to relieve day to day pressure of living costs and contribute to an au pair starting as soon as possible. Hopefully, Mands is shown sure signs of certainty and a commitment to financial support soon however there is the possibility that might take time and therefore we are stepping in with this initiative. The initial fundraising goal is 5,000 pounds based on the weekly costs of an au pair plus the additional costs of full board, travel costs and insurances as well as any activities they undertake with the kids for a period of 6 months. Thankfully, we have found a suitable candidate that is ready to start this week! Lidia is a 27yr old with a degree in early childcare and a passion for supporting young families. We're hopeful Lidia can start this week!
